Jim Ryan, Class of 1960 |
I can honestly say that the eight years I spent at St. A's were some of the best years of my life. When I think back I realize that the education I received was sound and provided a solid base to build on through high school, college and law school. I graduated in 1960 and three of the kids I met in first grade are still among my closest friends. We played football, basketball and even boxed in the gym. You cannot replace memories like those. Most importantly, it was there that my faith was nurtured. We were instilled with the importance of mass, the sacraments and encouraged to develop a devotion to the Blessed Mother. This spiritual foundation is what has sustained me more than anything during some very difficult times in my life. I encourage all of you to do what you can to keep St. A’s a vital part of our community for another 84 years - St. Alexander is irreplaceable.
Jim Ryan
Memory is a way of holding onto the things you love, the things you are, the things you never want to lose.
What we remember from childhood we remember forever - permanent ghosts, stamped, inked, imprinted, eternally seen.
so let us keep Saint ALexanders alive and full for years to come
